Guild Rename: Discussion

Given the many different responses I have received so far, it is clear this is a subject of much interest, but of little consensus.  And as I have not been able to determine an overall opinion from You, my comrades, I shall be postponing a rename petition until the New Year.  During this time, I want anyone who has an opinion or suggestion regarding this to contact me, either in comment below, my email address, or in game.

The Guild Rename process requires that a list of 5 candidate names, listed in order of preference, be submitted to the Game Masters for consideration.  As it stands at this moment, the Candidate names are as follows:

1. Shadows of Dawn
2. Warriors of the Red Sun
3. Crimson Shuriken
4. The Shadowless Hand
5. Doutanuki

This is also the order of preference, based not on my opinion, but in the responses I've received so far.  Know that I have not received that many as of yet, and this order, as well as the candidates, can be subject to change.  If you have suggestions as to the order this list should be in, or if you'd like to suggest a name, please do so.  

Also, if you're of the opinion that our Guild should remain Akatsuki, and not be altered, then I welcome that sentiment as well.  I've given my reasons for change, and I believe they are just.  But this is your guild too.  I want you to be proud to call yourself a member of our fellowship, regardless of the name we go by.  After all, that's the point!

Now, if you wish to submit suggestions for a name change Other than what you see above, I pose the following guidelines:

• The theme of Shinobi, or Shadow Warriors, or Ninja of the traditional sense, (not in-game thieves) is what I prefer.  If you like Samurai-style names, that works too, as traditionally, ninja in fact were samurai.  
• Words or symbology having to do with animism, or natural spirits/phenomena is also favored.  We are Horde, after all.  We revere the wind, the wild, and all manner of Kami, or spirits of the world.
• Originality is highly preferred. If you have an idea, do an Armory check to see if there are other characters or guilds that have thought of it already.  I really have no interest in sharing the same name with hundreds of other warriors or clans.  However, if the number of clones is less than a few, then it may still be considered.  
• List in Order of Preference.  If you have less than 5 names to suggest, tell me where in the current list you'd like to see your suggestions.  If you have 5 suggestions, put them in order, from most favored to the least favored.  
  

So far, these are the only alternative suggestions that have been posed: 
  -Warriors of the Burning Fire
  -Thunder Blade
  -Shinobi of the Great Nations

If you feel any or all of these should have a spot in the List of 5, or if you have your own suggestions, again, let us know!
